Crystals of Un'goro Crater

Continuing my work on remaking a scene from Un'goro Crater, I moved on to the crystals scattered around the zone. In keeping with the stylized look I didn't want to many points coming off the clusters but I wanted a variety. So I settled with 4 different points that could be reused with the same general shape as the ones from Classic WoW with an updated look. Sculpted in Zbrush, Retopology in Maya, texturing in Substance Painter.

I started off by sculpting two pointed and two more rounded crystals. In keeping with the stylized look I didn't want to many points coming off the clusters.

Within maya, I made low poly versions of all 4 following the edges of the crystals.
