Devonian Fossil Rock Split

Inspired by the rocks found within Penn Dixie Fossil Park, I wanted to create something that reminds me of my times there. So I remade my personal rock hammer I take with me and sculpted a few of the finds you can run into at the site. All fossils and the rock were sculpted in Zbrush while the hammers base mesh was started in Maya before sculpting some extra details. Used decimation master for the rock and trilobites to keep their form while the others I remade the topology to correct some baking uses in Substance Painter.

Top left and bottom right are photos of my actual rock hammer and some personal finds I wanted to use as reference. Rest are just good examples of trilobites of those species
